She was captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five," U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she took home a gold in the team event as well as her co-teammate Gabby Douglas the only Americans with back-to-back team gold medals. Raisman was awarded silver medals in the individual all-around, and floor exercise. She is the third-highest decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles, with six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams in the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the world bronze medalist on floor exercise in the year 2011. She was also two times a national champion in floor exercises (2012 and 2015), and the national champion in balance beam in 2012. She was also five times medalist in the national all-around championships (silver, bronze, 2010, 2011, 2012 and in 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
